Gangnam Stlye Video Beats YouTube Record AGAIN!
With Over 2 Billion Views
According to YouTube, “Gangnam Style” has now been viewed so many times — more than 2.15 BILLION — that it busted YouTube’s video views counter. Surprisingly, this is the second time... It was still enjoying the position of the most viewed video of all time, and now the video again breaks the record again!
YouTube said:
“We never thought a video would be watched in numbers greater than a 32-bit integer (=2,147,483,647 views), but that was before we met PSY,”
Gangnam Style has been watched so many times they were forced to upgrade their system to a 64-bit integer. That means the next video to break YouTube will have to be viewed more than 9,223,372,036,854,775,808 times.
It might seem like an impossible number to break, but as time goes on and “Gangnam Style” is still galloping, in five to seven years, we may be talking about PSY breaking YouTube's view counter once more.
