Back 2 Sender! Senate Rejects Buhari's $30bn External Borrowing Plan
The Senate in recent reports is said to have rejected Buhari's plan to borrow from sources outside the country for reasons or purpose best known to him and his cabinet as well as the Senate
Senate rejects President Muhammadu Buhari’s $29.6 billion external borrowing plan. President Buhari had last week written to the Senate, requesting for the approval to borrow about $30bn as 2016 – 2018 External Borrowing Rolling Plan.
Senate Leader, Ali Ndume, the senator representing Kogi West, Senator Dino Melaye indicated to lead a debate on the matter, but was turned down by the Senate President, Bukola Saraki.
A voice vote was carried out, at the end of which those rejecting turned out the loudest vote.
& that was how our dear president was reject, short and simple... No long story.
