Hopefully...

This year like every other had its ups and downs. The new year started on a high note for the Nigerian entertainment industry before the tragic demise of a few veterans in the movie and music industry.

We won’t forget Kefee the Branama queen, Zara Greti, Clem Onyeka, Amaka Igwe and many others who couldn't make it to the end. Though their demise was painful, we are grateful that we were blessed by them while they were alive.

At every point, the industry bounced back and made progress. Blockbuster movies like Half Of A Yellow Sun, October 1, Head Gone, 30 Days In Atlanta and many more was released and became huge success. As Nollywood stepped up her game, the music industry didn’t lag behind. Many of the A-list Nigerian music stars released albums.

Topping the list were stars like MI Abaga, Wizkid, P-Square, 2face, Praiz and others. Hit singles kept breaking new records and the industry kept on growing.

As the new year draws closer, one is hopeful that the industry will only get better and bigger, birthing better movies and songs.
